I'm a woman who had long hair and after getting a "pixie cut" from a family member, I was left with a hair cut that needed to be fixed so I headed on over to 1949 after hearing about their wonderful skills with short hair and that they work with a variety of hair texture. It's walk-in only so I walked on in and the workers were so pleasant and welcoming; I felt comfortable in their shop. The barber who did my hair did such a great job making my hair cut look much better while still keeping into consideration that I wanted some length. He communicated with me throughout the process, making sure to know what length I was comfortable with and what sort of style and that kind of thing which I really appreciated. I truly believe I wouldn't have gotten this good of a haircut had I gone to any other barber or hairstylist on the island. The service and price was really good, too. ”
